it's been a week since my last entry.
the past week has been a hell of a roller coaster ride..
i don't know if you've heard of it but rumors are spreading widely
about ORANG MINYAK lurking around USM preying on the ladies.
yeah, i know. Both my room mate and me got scared;
everyone else too actually.
In case you don't know what Orang Minyak is,
i found this on wikipedia but it's in BM. i'll try to translate it :)
it even came out in the papers, fyi.
"Orang Minyak merujuk kepada seseorang yang menuntut ilmu batin/ilmu hitam bagi tujuan menceroboh masuk kedalam rumah mangsa bagi tujuan mencuri / membuat onar.
Cerita menyatakan Orang Minyak ini telah disumpah kerana tersalah menuntut ilmu, menyebabkan dia menjadi hitam dan berminyak dan hanya akan pulih selepas memperkosa 40 orang gadis."
"Orang Minyak refers to someone who practices witchery/black magic for the purpose of breaking into people's houses to steal. Legend tells that the Orang Minyak is cursed because of his practice towards false doctrine, making him to have dark and oily skin and will only recover after he rapes 40 girls."

A big portion of girls living in dorms move out,
a whole bunch cram into a small room just in case if the rumors spread are true.
From what I know, 16 people were raped
and the USM authorities are trying hard not to leak out the stories to the press.
For me, I moved out.
like, who wouldn't if you were told
"someone saw Orang Minyak walking on the roofs of the hostel block opposite yours."
I was even told to wear my shirt inside out
and to sprinkle lots and lots of salt on the door and the window
(because Orang Minyak can walk through walls and windows).
Anyway, I move out to Jasmine's.

Is the orang minyak still around at USM? If so, should request female guards to patrol the girls' dorm. Or better ask CM Lim Guan Eng to tell USM to buck up with their security system.
